‘FREITAG RENT’, New travel bag rental service launched

The bottom line is that travel bags are only used a few times a year.
And yet, at home, you have an expensive, bulky suitcase taking up a lot of space. …… To solve this problem, the sustainable bag brand Freitag from Zurich, Switzerland, has proposed a new option.

This is the ‘FREITAG RENT’ rental service, which has been available at Freitag stores since 25 June (Wed). The idea behind it is simple. If we all share one bag, we can be kind to our wallets and closets, and also conserve the earth’s resources. This sustainable service is perfect for those who enjoy a minimalist lifestyle and question consumerism.

The bags come in one model, the F512 VOYAGER, measuring H500 x W330 x D200 mm, with a capacity of 43 litres and weighing 1,360 g. The price plan is easy to understand, with a basic rental fee of ￥4,100 (tax included). This price includes the manufacture and maintenance of the bag, cleaning and restoration of the inner lining and in-store procedures, and a four-day rental; from the fifth day onwards, the price is ¥500 per day (incl. tax), and from the 15th day onwards, the price per day is a bargain at ¥330 (incl. tax). There is no need to set a return date in advance, so you don’t have to worry if your travel plans change!
