90 varieties of ice cream from 21 prefectures gather at the ‘Winter Local Ice Cream Festival 2026’

Local specialities from every corner of Japan, celebrated on shows like “Secret Kenmin Show Kiwami” and “Matsuko’s Unknown World”. Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, the gourmet gathering ‘Winter Local Ice Cream Festival’ returns to ‘Hobo Nichiyobi’ on the 8th floor of Shibuya PARCO, Tokyo, from Friday 30th January 2026!　

This enhanced second edition brings together 30 shops from 21 prefectures, offering around 90 varieties. It’s like an ice cream jewel box, filled with nostalgic flavours, rare treats, and surprising new sensations!　According to writer and essayist Minori Kai, who curated the selection and authored “A Journey Through Ice Cream” (Graphic-sha, 2019), ‘Ice cream carries nostalgic flavours tied to the region where one grew up, evoking a nostalgia that transcends mere “deliciousness”!’
