On 20 December 2025, a glamorous red carpet evening descended upon year-end Tokyo. The party ‘Moonlit Night Xmas’, curated by DANTZ × GOETHE, presented a new social occasion for the dressed-up crowd. A night where music, attire, and conversation intersected, vividly etching a new standard for night-out experiences.

Aoyama, Tokyo, just before Christmas, enveloped in the crisp winter air. That night, a particularly dazzling party commenced. The venue was TWO ROOMS, a restaurant and bar emblematic of Tokyo’s nightlife. This launch party, with its exclusive invitation-only format, introduced red carpet culture to Tokyo.
In the United States, red carpet parties have become established social occasions, particularly in major cities like Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and New York. Attendees gather in glamorous attire, enjoying music and drinks while celebrating each other’s style. This refined culture was reconstructed with Japanese aesthetic sensibilities at the recently held ‘Moonlit Night’. World-renowned DJ DANTZ, who curated the event, reflected on its Tokyo debut:
“Despite the unfortunate rain, over 600 guests attended. This time, we aimed to create an extraordinary atmosphere reminiscent of overseas parties through the music, interior design, and ambiance. The red carpet party is an event where “the guests are the stars”. People dressed up regardless of gender or age, and I felt it became a truly glamorous and sparkling night.”

Sponsored by JTB Royal Road, Bentley, Lalique and others. Guests, incorporating red into suits and jackets or adding accents to dresses and gowns, added a lustrous colour to the venue. DJ booths set up across three floors featured a lineup of accomplished DJs active both domestically and internationally, led by DANTZ. Filling the floor with different grooves for each time slot, they painted a new form of adult socialising.
The party demonstrated more than mere glamour. It posed the question of how the act of dressing appropriately, respecting the occasion, and sharing time through conversation and music could become such a rich experience. What was presented was a new standard for night-out experiences in Tokyo. ‘Moonlit Night’ left a definite resonance in Tokyo’s nightlife while vividly heralding the dawn of a new red carpet culture.
