MIU MIU unveils the latest instalment of its circular project, ‘MIU MIU UPCYCLED 2026’!

Launched in 2020, ‘MIU MIU UPCYCLED’ is a sustainable collection in which vintage specialists source archive garments from antique shops and markets around the world and upcycle them. The collected garments are taken apart at the seams, cleaned and restored, with details such as buttons, zips and attachments removed and sorted by component. Only after this entire process is complete do pattern cutters begin to reconstruct the garments into Miu Miu’s iconic proportions, whilst respecting the signs of ageing and wear not as flaws but as unique characteristics and charm. These are one-of-a-kind pieces, finished by hand by skilled artisans who spare no effort or time. The 2026 New Look features assemblage, with combinations of contrasting materials—such as chino and leather, gabardine and leather, gabardine and chino, and poplin and chino—taking centre stage. Whilst promoting circular design practices, the collection breathes new life into once-cherished garments, passing them on to the present and the future.
